4. Information Systems Security

Career: Computer security specialists have the important job of safeguarding an organization's information systems. As part of their work, systems security specialists educate workers about the importance of maintaining computer security, install security software on the organization's computers, monitor an organization's network for security breaches, and respond to attacks on an organization's security by cyber criminals.

Educational Requirements: A computer science degree with an emphasis in information security may be required to pursue the position of a computer security specialist.
